MODERN GABLE LIVING

MODERN GABLE LIVING · WAIKATO · SENTINEL HOMES · 2020 · 224m²

Modern Gable Living is a contemporary single-level residence defined by a stepping series of gables along its street frontage. Pale vertical board-and-batten cladding sits against textured concrete block, sharpened by black joinery for a calm yet confident presence. A recessed entry beneath a glazed gable, finished with warm timber decking, creates a welcoming arrival.

Inside, an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space is filled with light from a skylight and generous corner glazing. A waterfall island, dark woodgrain cabinetry and a walk-in pantry pair with rich timber-toned flooring for a warm, functional heart. Sliding doors open onto a covered louvred terrace and a sunken fire pit courtyard wrapped in built-in timber seating. A timber feature wall in the master suite completes a home that is warm, practical and effortlessly liveable.
