Our Process

01 · Pre-Design & Site Visit

Before we begin the concept plans, we will meet you on site to get to know you, understand what you want to achieve, and take a good look at the property. During this visit we will also put together an initial design brief that will guide the project from the start.

04 · Detailed Design

We then produce the full detailed plans and supporting documents needed for building consent. This is where we go through everything carefully and focus on creating high quality documentation to help ensure a smooth and efficient consent process and build.

02 · Concept Design

This stage involves developing conceptual design ideas based on the design brief created during the pre-design phase. These concepts help you assess the project’s viability, understand the site’s potential, and decide which overall direction you want to pursue.

05 · Consent Management

When the plans are ready, we submit your building consent application to the local council. While the consent is being processed, we can also help you finalise your builder and contractors.

03 · Preliminary Design

We take your concept and develop it further, creating the plans needed for consultants such as interior designers, engineers, and frame and truss suppliers. Once refined, we move into Developed Design and begin coordinating with your builder or recommending trusted industry partners.

06 · Project Management

If you choose the service, we oversee the project from planning through to completion. This includes coordinating timelines, budgets, communication, and quality control to help make sure everything runs smoothly and meets your expectations.

Project Fees

Every project is different, so our architectural fees are tailored to the specific requirements of your site, design, and desired level of service. Factors such as project size, complexity, scope, consultant requirements, and the level of documentation involved all influence the overall fee.

We begin with an initial consultation to understand your vision, priorities, budget, site conditions, and intended project outcomes. From there, we prepare a clear, project-specific fee proposal outlining the recommended services, key deliverables, and associated costs—so you understand what is included before work begins.

Depending on your project and preferred service pathway, fees may be structured as a fixed price, based on time and cost, or calculated as a percentage of the anticipated construction cost. If the project scope changes along the way, any potential fee implications will be discussed with you before additional work proceeds.

Our goal is to provide clarity from the outset, with a fee structure that reflects the expertise, coordination, and resources required to deliver your project successfully.
